- Why the name manifesto? The word manifesto refers, quite simply, to a public declaration. We believe in the old adage that it is the clothes that maketh a man. You are what you wear! And since we’re totally dedicated to helping men look better, we decided to call ourselves manifesto! Today, we’re proud to be China’s first and leading e-tailer for imported designer mens underwear, and to represent top international brands such as C-IN2, DT Underwear, N2N Bodywear and Private Structure. Our unique click-and-mortar business model allows customers to either purchase products online from the comfort of their homes or to check out the latest designs in its Shanghai boutique.

- Do you have a product catalogue? We do not currently have product catalogues, which means manifesto is able to keep prices low by not passing along the overhead costs of designing, printing and sending collaterals to you. This website is our catalogue, and will be constantly updated, so do keep coming back!
- How do I know what size I am?

- Where is your store located? We are located right on the corner of Huaihai Road and Xingguo Road. As soon as you find Lane 1950 on Huaihai Road, walk all the way in and you will see Shanghai Studio located on your right, and that’s where we are! Click here to see our map. If you are lost at anytime, just call us at the boutique at 62946880, and we will come right to your rescue!
- What are your opening hours? We’re open 2pm to 10pm Mondays to Thursdays and 2pm to 12pm Fridays to Sundays. manifesto prides itself in offering customers a PRIVATE space to shop. If you would like a personal viewing when no one is around, please make an appointment with us two days in advance at info@manifesto.com.cn.
Order and delivery questions
- What delivery methods are available, and how much does delivery cost? All shipments within China are delivered through Huitong, one of China’s largest logistics service providers. A flat delivery surcharge of RMB15 is automatically added to your order placed via this website, regardless of where you are located within China and the volume of your order. For orders above RMB600, the surcharge is waived, that is, your delivery is FREE OF CHARGE!As soon as your shipment is on its way, we will email you with your tracking number which you can use on Huitong’s website to check on the status of your delivery. In our communication with customers we include information about shipping—your safe and timely delivery is as important to us as it is to you. For parcels below 1 kg, the delivery surcharge is RMB25 for Hong Kong and RMB30 to Taiwan.
- Do you ship internationally? Yes, we can ship to most major countries, but do bear in mind that shipment costs for small packages out of China are generally more expensive than elsewhere. So if you intend to buy only one item, the shipping cost is not going to make sense. Anyhow, if you see something you really like on our website, why not drop us a mail at info@manifesto.com.cn and we will advise you on a case-by-case basis.
- When will I get my product and what will it look like? All orders are sent in discreet plain boxes with your name and address label affixed to the front. Our company and logo will NOT appear on the outside of the package. We aim to ship all in-stock items within 24 hours of receipt of order, so you should receive your order within 3 days. Of course, if you’d like your product gift-wrapped, just let us know in the comment box when you make your order.
- How can I suggest a product for you to carry? Your opinions and ideas are important to us. Please email info@manifesto.com.cn with your suggestions for additional products to offer. We appreciate your input!
- Will I be charged sales tax? No sales tax nor any other additional costs are incurred.
- Do you gift wrap? Of course! At manifesto, it is all about the packaging. We want you to give your boyfriend a present that he (or you!) will want to unwrap! Please email us at info@manifesto.com.cn with your specific needs and we will make every effort to.
- How do I place an order on your website? [1] Register here. It is important that you leave us your email and contact number so we can reach you. [2] Shop around by placing items into shopping cart. [3] Once you’re done, click on the orange Shopping Cart button on the right column. [4] After you have verified your purchases and shipment details, the final button checks you out of the manifesto website. You will be transferred to ChinaBank's secure payment gateway, where you will be able to make your payment with an Internet-activated China UnionPay bank card. We accept cards from 19 top Chinese banks. If you only possess a non-Chinese card, email us at info@manifesto.com.cn for more details.
- I made a mistake with my order. What should I do? Please email info@manifesto.com.cn with questions or concerns about your order.
- What forms of payment do you accept? [1] Online payment with ChinaBank's secure payment gateway. [2] Bank transfers. Email us at info@manifesto.com.cn for our bank account details. [3] Cash on delivery (limited to Shanghai Municipality, except for Songjiang, Qingpu, Jinshan, Fengxian and Nanhui districts). All cash-on-delivery orders entail a RMB15 surcharge.
- Are your products guaranteed?How do I return/exchange an item? At manifesto we stand behind each and every one of our products. If you are not satisfied for any reason, you are invited to return an item purchased from manifesto. Please choose carefully. Due to the nature of our product we do not give refunds or exchange goods if you simply change your mind or make a wrong selection. We will gladly exchange where goods are faulty. Manufacturing faults are classed as faults caused by poor manufacturing workmanship. - I placed an online order on your website a while ago, but encountered problems when making the payment today. What should I do? You should simply clear your browser cache before attempting to make the payment. For Microsoft Internet Explorer users, click Tools/Internet Options/General/Delete Files. Alternatively, make your way to our ChinaBank Express Gateway to make your payment.

If you fulfill certain requirements, and there are currently no dealers in your area, we would be most happy to work with you. Please note that we do not work on a consignment basis.
